What is Arnica Ice?

A topical analgesic for temporary relief of aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with sprains, strains or arthritis for horses and humans. Also ideal for relief from sunburn.

Arnica Ice Gel Contains:

ARNICA OIL - derived from the bright yellow flowers of the Arnica Montana plant. It is a popular herbal remedy because of its well-known anti- inflammatory properties for both bruising and soft tissue injury.

MENTHOL - can be man-made or derived from the oil of the Peppermint plant. It stimulates the sensory nerves, inducing a feeling of coolness and acts as a mild local anesthetic. It is also known to relieve itching.

CAMPHOR - has mild anesthetic properties, can be found in the wood of the Camphor Laurel tree or made synthetically. It has traditionally been used for swelling and sprains, as well as for relieving arthritic pains.

WITCH HAZEL - which comes from the leaves and bark of the shrub of the same name, has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties. It is used mainly to promote the healing of bruises and swellings.

How do you use Arnica Ice Gel?

LEGS: To relieve pain, rub in thoroughly three or more times a day.

BACK, SHOULDERS   & FLANK:   Apply liberally for relief of soreness and stiffness (it can be used three or more times daily). Don’t apply under saddle area if horse is to be ridden after treatment.

For use as a THERAPEUTIC BODY WASH when a coolant is indicated, mix 2 tablespoonful’s of gel into 1 liter of warm water and apply with a sponge to the horse’s entire body.

Rub in thoroughly before and after workout.

PEPPERMINT OIL - derived from the peppermint plant and is used topically for muscle tightness and soothes pain. Peppermint oil creates a cooling sensation on the skin which is thought to reduce pain.

Methyl Salicylate - Also known as wintergreen oil. This oil helps with treating joint pain and inflammation.

How do you use Arnica Ice Spray?

For the relief of stiffness and soreness of painful muscles, joints or tendons spray onto the affected area and massage in thoroughly. Avoid the eyes. Wash hands after application.
